Summer Update September 2025

Hello, welcome to my projects blog! Currently, I have three projects underway.

Metamorphosis concept art

The first is Metamorphosis. This is a dark fantasy, visual effects project centered around a Fairy exploring an enchanted winter forest and kickstarting the spring season after embracing the magic of the moonlight. The focus of this project is on creating beautiful, aesthetically pleasing shots throughout the entire film. I have multiple VFX skills that fit the needs of this film, such as my experience working on the SCAD XR stage, materials, and hair/cloth simulations. I also possess physical skills that may be utilized for this film, such as my passion for makeup and live-action costume design. Right now, our team has completed storyboards and an animatic (courtesy of Gracie Szymanski) based on the script written by Hannah Kim.

Another film I am working on is a SCAD student film, Roots of Evanescence, directed by Bella Jeffers and Mark Owens. I am the VFX producer on this film. This is an experimental short film that centers around humanity's relationship with the environment. My role is to oversee the filming of live-action scenes that will need visual effects. I ensure they are filmed in a way that aids the post-production process. The filming dates for Roots of Evanescence are September 19th-21st.

The final film I have lined up is Shedding Velvet, a Senior thesis film written and directed by Jules Robinson. It is a body horror film about a transgender boy who returns to his small town home to confront his fears surrounding his estranged family. The main character transforms into a deer-like creature. I am also the VFX producer on this film. I will assist in the live-action filming of the transition scene. Filming begins on October 2nd. I will assist with any motion capture filming that is needed, and I will also have an artist role in the post-production process over winter break. I plan to create a hair groom that can be rendered alone and composited onto the live action footage of the character transforming. I will be needing a compositor in the beginning/middle of the winter quarter to assist with the finishing touches of the film.
